Telgar Weyr is an area on a game called PernMUSH, a roleplaying environment based on Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern® series. From The Atlas of Pern: Telgar Weyr is so-named because its nearby streams are the source waters which eventually form Telgar River. These source waters etch their way through some spectacular mountain scenes. From The Dragonlover's Guide to Pern: Telgar was one of the earliest Weyr sites chosen, but it was the last of the Ancient Weyrs to be occupied.... Telgar's Weyr Bowl lies in a huge volcano at the top of the Central Mountain Range just sound of its juntion with the Northern Barrier. From its Weyrleaders: Words most often associated with Telgar include cold, snow, fun, interaction, and loveable. We hope you'll come gain some association with our beloved Weyr soon! From the previous website (thank you Gay!): Just after the Tenth Pass began, Telgar Weyr was mired by an incompetent leadership which then led to the Weyr Council ousting both Weyrleaders and replacing them with a beleaguered Benden's leaders. Various wings from Benden were transferred to Telgar to supplement their dwindling fighting forces. Despite its speckled past and difficult adjustment periods, Telgar is now a thriving community, protecting a sizeable portion of the Northern Continent
